Terms of Use

Last updated: July 24, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of MarKit. By using MarKit, you agree to these terms.

1. App Description

MarKit is a shot card and camera department planning tool for commercial and film production. It helps users organize projects, shot cards, camera and lens settings, grip equipment, reference media, and project packages.

2. Local Project Data

MarKit is designed as a local-first tool. You are responsible for managing, backing up, exporting, and sharing your own project files and media. Please keep independent backups of important production data.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of the project data, images, videos, notes, and other content you add to MarKit. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use and share any content you import, store, or export.

4. Paid Features and Subscriptions

MarKit may offer free and paid features. Paid features may include, but are not limited to, additional projects, more shot cards, project package import/export, and custom equipment libraries.

If auto-renewable subscriptions are offered, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account through Apple In-App Purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Lifetime purchases, if offered, are one-time purchases for eligible Pro features as described in the app.

5. Restore Purchases

If paid features are available, MarKit will provide a Restore Purchases option so that eligible users can restore previously purchased access through Apple or the subscription management service used by the app.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse MarKit, attempt to reverse engineer the app, interfere with app operation, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

7. No Professional Guarantee

MarKit is a planning and organization tool. While it is designed for professional production workflows, it does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any production plan, shot list, equipment list, or exported file for a specific project.

8. Performance, Data Backup, and Limitation of Liability

MarKit is designed as a local-first production planning tool. The stability and performance of the app may be affected by device model, operating system version, available storage, memory, project size, number of shot cards, number of connected nodes, media file size, and other factors outside our control.

You are responsible for regularly backing up important project data and exported project files. Before using MarKit in a professional production environment, you should verify that your project data, shot cards, media, and exported files are complete and accessible.

For large projects, we recommend exporting backup copies periodically and testing project performance on your device before using it on set.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MarKit and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or production-related losses arising from app crashes, performance issues, data loss, file corruption, export/import failure, device limitations, or inability to access project materials.

MarKit is provided as a planning and organization tool and should not be treated as the sole storage location for critical production materials.

9. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of MarKit from time to time. We may also update these Terms of Use by posting a revised version on this page.

10. Apple Standard EULA

Where applicable, your use of MarKit is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
